Around here, comedy is king. Launched in 2023 by veteran producer Rob Hammersley and longtime friend and highly-successful tech entrepreneur Christopher Irion, Public House Pictures specializes in making movies that bring you laughs.

Serving as a film financier and production company, Public House Pictures is based in Los Angeles and Miami.

CHRISTOPHER IRION

  • An environmentalist at heart, Irion founded e-Cycle over eighteen years ago in his garage based upon his passion for the environment, charitable giving, and technology. As the global leader in Smartphone Reuse, e-Cycle has resold and recycled tens of millions of used Blackberries, iPhones and iPads. In addition, Irion is an Angel investor in “Clean Lithium” companies in the Electric Vehicle market.

    Christopher is now translating those business skills from the Tech to the Entertainment industry, helping to drive Public House Pictures to become one of the top production companies in the business. Christopher currently resides in Miami, running the east coast operation of Pub Pictures.

ROB HAMMERSLEY

  • Rob Hammersley is a writer-producer-director who has produced hundreds of hours of television. His current show Car Masters: Rust to Riches that he created and produces is a big success for Netflix. He’s also recently produced for Travel Channel, Facebook Watch, MTV, Discovery, Science Channel and more.

    A graduate of Arizona State University, Rob started out in the biz as a comedy writer having written for sitcoms and sketch shows for NBC, Comedy Central, USA and MTV as well as punch up work on feature film scripts, top selling Tony Hawk video games for Activision, and comic books for The Simpsons.

SONYA NOVAK

  • Sonya Novak joins the team after years of freelance field and post producing for a wide array of unscripted and live series. Her career in entertainment began as a publicist in the video game and startup industry. Since transitioning to production, Sonya has developed, produced, and cut shows for Netflix, Fox, HBOMax, Amazon, Hulu, Discovery, History, TRVL, CNBC, Science Channel, and more, as well as spent time in scripted development for Starz. A graduate of UC Berkeley and lifelong Californian, when not bingeing shows she can be found surfing or testing new recipes.
